A SUPER FUN DAY AT THE ZOO
We decided to get an annual membership to the Phoenix zoo and spent a fun day getting in some good exercise. Everyone had the holiday off work and the boys needed to pass off several scout requirements by visiting. The weather was perfect in the 70's and the free tickets that came with the membership allowed Rex and Jess to come with us (which is always more fun). The zoo has many different trails and we didn't have time to see everything that day, which means we will go back soon. They have a carousel, sting ray bay, reptile center, conservation station and tons of other neat things. We had a blast it was fun and exhausting...New Year's Resolution for more exercise is off to a good start!
Garrett is lounging by a tidal pool near the entrance while we decide what to see first.
Our favorite animal of the day was this amazing tiger.
She walked around giving us an amazing view of her gorgeous coat.
Collin found himself stuck in the mouth of a lion while Ethan and Garrett found their own perch to lounge on and practice thier roar's.

We found some other very interesting animals along the way and tried various methods of getting a good look at them. Spencer found a good one.
The rhino was another big hit! One of the animals charged at the other while we watched them...very exciting.

Although the best show...not to mention the most educational, was put on by these two mating tortoises. The big question was "why is one on top of the other"?!?

We did a little resting along the way. Janea wore her monkey onsie and girraffe overalls to celebrate the day. The boys of course want to be with Uncle Rex.
There is always time to monkey around!
